A documentary concerned with the turmoil surrounding the legendary boxing match the "Rumble in the Jungle" and the concert that took place in celebration of it.
I was hoping for something more in line with the thematic distinction of the Taking Woodstock poster. Instead, we're left with a rather uneventful and inexpressive image of James Brown.
Thankfully, the trailer is an improvement over the poster as it makes the film look interesting if only for the richness and clarity of the recorded images from the concert and little at all to do with the boxing match that's at its heart.
This would be an potential contender for an Oscar nomination. It's hard to say how the Academy would look at it, but when dealing with music, the Academy can be fickle or it can be supportive.
I have not seen this film.
