A family desperate for money decides to rent their land out to organizers of the most legendary concert in history.
It was entirely expected for the producers of this film to go with a 60s-inspired concert poster. The most interesting aspects are the details from the film emblazoned in the lower blue-pink area.
Not as interesting as I expected to be, but fascinated from a historical, detailed perspective. It promises to be an interesting movie if nothing else.
The August release makes me worry about its survivability at the Oscars, but since the original Woodstock was held August 15 to 18 back in 1969, it's an entirely appropriate release date. And with Ang Lee at the helm, it can't help but get noticed by voters. If reviews are astounding, we could be looking at one of the first major Oscar contender of the season.
I have not seen this film.
