Preview: Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009)

Synopsis:

The third film in the vampires vs. werewolves franchise called Underworld.

Review:

Has it become so difficult to advertise this string of box office underperformers that they must rely on using only one of the carry-over characters? The colors are fairly obvioius and the image insubstantial. I don't know if it would sell the movie or not. I was frankly quite surprised there even was a third film.

Review:

You know those kinds of films that have moderately entertaining trailers, but you know are going to be terrible, that's how I feel watching this one. While the action in certain scenes in the trailer looks interesting, the posturing, menacing and generic scenes that surround it are no doubt encouragement that this utterly unnecessary sequel to the previous two Underworld films is just that: unnecessary.
