Preview: 8: The Mormon Proposition (2010)

Synopsis:

Attempting to track the money trail of the Mormon church's support of the California Proposition 8 which revoked the rights of homosexuals in the state to marry, this documentary exposes the disingenuity and viciousness with which the Mormons fought and won.

Review:

It's overly simplified and while I like the puppet metaphor, I can't look at this poster for very long before being turned off by it.

• Trailer: B+

Review:

Anyone who was angered over what occurred with Proposition 8 will undoubtedly find something to celebrate and enjoy in this trailer. It's also very clear from the trailer that if you supported Prop 8, you won't want to watch.

Oscar Prospects:

It's heavily political, current and could very well be a strong contender.
