Sent to Italy to complete one last job, an American assassin falls in love and risks losing everything, including his life.
The French Connection inset in the title's strangely the best thing about this rather dry and unoriginal poster. The orange face is distracting and the in-motion George Clooney pushes for the action thriller crowd and not for the Oscar crowd.
Clooney can make just about any movie better just by his performances. Whether this one is actually good or not depends on a lot of things, but a September release is not a positive one.
Most of the plot information revealed in the first trailer is tossed in the second, which makes this seem more like an action film than a dramatic spy-romance film.
Clooney will be talked about for a nomination and, if the film's good enough, he could bring it along with him.
I have not seen this film.
