In a post-apocalyptic America, a lone traveller tries to protect a sacred book that could hold the secrets to saving mankind.
As a graphic novel adaptation, I guess it's not surprising that they would choose that motif to design the poster in. It's a bit chaotic, but fitting for the source material. Something more realistic, though, might have been an improvement.
I do get tired of the post-apocalyptic worlds. And, with The Road coming out this Oscar season, I doubt this movie will be able to hold a candle to it. Matter of fact, after reading the synopsis, I'm fairly certain where the film is going and with the trailer little more than several waves of fighting and an early January release, I have little doubt in my mind that the film is going to be terrible even if it looks good.
