Synopsis:

A musical set in the outback as an Aboriginal boy decides to flee Catholic school and return to his native home town.

Review:

The background colors, though atrocious, can be forgiven as they mirror the colors of the Australian Outback. The title color and the actors dancing aren't as easily vorgiven.

• Trailer: B-

Review:

As the trailer starts, it's easy to be struck with how cheesey the film seems. Geoffrey Rush is hamming it up as the "cruel" priest, but as the trailer moves on, it seems like a film that is truly amused by itself and thus tacitly amusing to the audience.
