The story of a dysfunctional family who make a habit (and, in some cases, a living) of lying to one another until their lies become so broad that they can't hide behind them anymore.
Normally, I would have dismissed this poster out of hand because of how little I like the hand-drawn indie look to many recent posters. However, the drawn representations of the family members' secret lives is terrific.
More so than most independent features of recent years, this one doesn't feel like its pushing the audience down wih its hand, directing them how they need to feel. It looks like a mildly amusing, if rote exercise in family dynamic interaction.
It's not caught on with critics, so it's unlikely to catch on with Oscar voters.
I have not seen this film.
