A remake of the 1981 cult classic adaptation of the Perseus myth as he battles the Medusa and a Kraken in order to save the beautiful Princess Andromeda.
It's pretty enough if you're into that sort of thing. It's an effective image and has nice use of colors, but it's still relatively carbon-copy of many other posters from the genre.
One of the things that made the original such a success was that it featured some of the most notable international thespians working in the business many years prior. This film doesn't have a Laurence Olivier or Maggie Smith. Instead, it has Liam Neeson. It's hardly a suitable comparison.
I'm not expecting much from the film, so I'm not surprised by how tedious and simple the trailer is. However, it seems to acknowledge that while making it clear that this is a box-office-whoring cinematic irrelevant.
The special effects don't look too bad, but releasing in March will virtually doom its Oscar chances.
I have not seen this film.
