Review:

Nice colors, but rather vacant. It makes the film look like a romance and when the leads are brother and sister, that can lead to the completely wrong impressions.

The original poster, despite not feeling like it fit the film, was a far cry better than this egocentric poster that lacks color, compassion or strength.

Review:

This looks like Oscar bait if I've ever seen it. And not the good kind. Too much drama, too much push, it's like Erin Brockovich meets Dead Man Walking.

Oscar Prospects:

Releasing in October may mean the studio isn't 100% certain of its Oscar prospects and it's trying to test the waters with critics or hope that the notices from critics dry out by the time Oscar season begins in earnest. Once again, Hilary Swank will be talked about for a nomination, but it's her co-stars who might have more potential. It's all going to depend on the quality of the film.
