Preview: Daniel & Ana (2010)

Synopsis:

The difficult and unusual relationship between two siblings is exacerbated when they are abducted at gun point.

Review:

A bland, unexciting poster that won't win too many admirers, which is the opposite of what a foreign ling poster needs to do.

• Trailer: B-

Review:

The background music helps distract the audience from the fact that this film is subtitled, but mostly the fact that it's a foreign language pic won't easily escape most viewers. The images portray a story that may have some incredible depth, but is too often punctuated by strategic critic blurbs.

Oscar Prospects:

Despite being put together by the same producers as the Oscar-nominated Crime of Padre Amaro, I don't know that this film will receive the same attention.
