Review:

Perhaps something more detailed and interesting will appeaer within the next few months ahead of the 2010 release of the film, because this is plainly boring.

(Note: This poster is no longer available) The slight uptick in rating is because at least we're not stuck with the entirety of the same blandness. It's still terrible, there's more to look at.

Replacing the previous second poster is this more traditional flyer that contains a significant number of elements from the film, yet it still looks overly childish and unnecessarily bland.

Review:

This is a teaser for sure, with no hint of a plot to be found. Yes, we are exposed to the criminalit of the lead character and a brief snippet of his voice, but there's little else here to really tell us what the film is about and after reading the synopsis, this trailer means virtually nothing.

Although this trailer is a little more humorous than the first, it is little more than a simplistic pro-children, pseudo-adult animated flick.

What the point is, I don't know. I doubt it's even a scene from the film. The makers were probably hoping to make the audience laugh, but this gag has been done many times by many artists and this is the least inventive or clever.

Now that we've gotten more involved in the plot, the film looks a lot more involving and entertaining. Although many of the lame jokes that often characterize films like this are strewn about the trailer, there are some cute elements as well, namely the kids.

Oscar Prospects:

It will be submitted for the Oscar for Animated Feature, but I doubt it will end up in the final nomination list.
