A lonely sibling, traveling the country reading excerpts from his short stories, finds love with the woman who mistakenly called his hotel room one evening for phone sex even though he has yet to meet her in person.
Staged is a good word for this poster. The creators had a concept, an interesting one at the least, and forced it to fit. Although the layout and position of the phone is a bit too perfect, Brian Geraghty's melancholic visage aids the effect.
There aren't many indie films whose trailers appeal to me, but this one shows a plot that's more creative than most of those ones I've shunned. It may be worth checking out.
Brian Geraghty and the film were applauded when the film made its several appearances on the festival circuit, but none of them really stand out as names film enthusiasts would easily recognize. No Cannes. No Sundance. No Tribeca. Montréal and Raindance are the only big name ones it showed at.
I have not seen this film.
