The son of two victims of the Khmer Rouge massacres goes on a mission to find out why the genocide that plagued his country occurred from the mouths of those who perpetrated the crime.
A decent poster for a documentary, but not one of exceptional quality. It does convey the purpose of the film simply, but only to those already familiar with the documentary or the trailer.
Disturbing, brutally honest, poetic, haunting music...and that's just the trailer. I can't imagine how focused and disturbing the documentary itself may be.
This could be a major Oscar contender for Documentary Feature. It's got all the earmarks of what the Academy loves: human tragedy, soul searching and politics.
I have not seen this film.
