A remake of the 1978 horror film about a woman who seeks revenge against the four men who rape her.
A ludicrous catchline is the least problem with this poster. After you see the trailer, you know why she's holding the shears that way and it's not pleasant. It's an obvious play at the Saw audience without any of that film's originality.
They say that sex sells and if that's true, then this poster is a gold mine. It isn't a terribly inventive piece, but it sufficiently appeals to the demographic that's going to see this film anyway, though it may dissuade the female portion of the audience expecting little more than a male sex fantasy despite being a female revenge fantasy.
It's a small premise and the trailer looks like a blend of every other blood-and-guts horror film of the '00s, which does not make it look more interesting, it just makes it look more deseparate.
It's more expansive than the original trailer, which should help and it will most definitely appeal to the up-front weekend horror fans, but may draw a few more women and their dates to the theater than other similar features, though with so much blood and gore, it might not. And a bit of a misnomer is that it's listed as being unrated, but according to IMDb, it's been rated R. Maybe they're prepping for the eventual unrated DVD release.
None.
I have not seen this film.
