A limo driver begins learning new life lessons after a successful blind date leads him down the path of love while the couple who introduced them begin to succumb to their own problems.
It has a nice flow of color, but is a bit bare. However, that the poster doesn't rely on an actor's image to sell itself is a bonus.
The trailer tries hard not to feel like a common romantic drama and there's just enough hint of a stronger plot that suggests this could be a decent late-year feature. Philip Seymour Hoffman isn't one of my favorite actors, but we'll see how this one goes.
Depending on how critics respond, Hoffman could be a contender as could the rest of the cast including former nominee Amy Ryan. Writing and directing honors could be a stretch, but a 10-wide slate could benefit the film with the right notices.
I have not seen this film.
