Following the life and career of Joan Rivers, this documentary attempts to expose her as a real person and not just a media whore as many see her.
Why pink is hopefully addressed in the film. Just because she's a woman, the color is not necessary. And the drawn profile is hard to discern as Rivers unless you study it in detail.
I would never have considered watching a doc about Rivers. She has alwasy struck me as a person undeserving the fame and attention she has received. But this documentary, painting her as a real and struggling individual may change my mind and the minds of others about her.
I would find it amusing if the woman who frustrated so many on the Oscar red carpet ended up being a Documentary Feature nominee (even if the film is only about her, not produced or directed by her).
I have not seen this film.
