As the Japanese invade China and slaughter it's people, a lone German agrees to protect the Chinese and keep them safe from annihilation.
A dual-paned poster isn't the best choice generally, but it works fairly well here because the separation of images is done so visually, not by a disconnect between the images. The colors are vibrant and draw your attention to all the right places.
It looks like your typical World War II, protect-the-innocents kind of film, a kind of Holocaust-themed picture that doesn't actually take place in Germany, Poland or any sector of Europe.
Since it isn't a true Holocaust film and the film is releasing fairly early in the year, I very much doubt this will make it very far with the Academy.
I have not seen this film.
