Two children run away from their abusive homes to attempt to make a life for themselves in the big city where they must rely on each other in ways that kids of their age shouldn't.
It's simple, but effectively embodies the film, but only if you've seen the trailer. That can be a tough sell to most audiences.
It's a story that shouldn't have to be told, but the fact that it can and does happen makes for a heartbreaking narrative. The trailer doesn't over-sentimentalize the production, which may help it appeal to a slightly wider audience than the standard indie circuit.
