A street urchin dreams of owning a snazzy new trumpet, but hasn't the money to afford it, but finds his plans interrupted when he meets a young woman in need of help.
Although it's somewhat chaotic, it is a beautiful, colorful extravaganza with plenty to see and is in perfect sync with the accompanying trailer.
If you can't tell a world class cinematographer worked on this, then you haven't seen very much. The sumptuous visuals are plenty to encourage fans of such things to the theater, but being a silent film even accompanied by a live jazz ensemble, isn't something are going to want to watch.
The format itself will likely make the entire production ineligible.
I have not seen this film.
