Two aging singles find love again in each others arms.
Far too much blank space on the poster. It helps draw your eyes to the lower half of the poster, but it isn't very appealing. There's a lot of space to deal with and either you want people to think you're going for minimal to support your film or you don't have a lot to say so you try to keep it simple. This is one of those posters I think that may just be trying to keep it simple without having much to say.
It should always worry you when a trailer spends the first tenth doing nothing but showing what festivals the film has played at. Certainly they are trying to suggest this is an important movie, but when you consider how many films show at festivals, it's not as big of a deal anymore. Saw showed at Sundance if that gives you any idea. But that's not really the point, the trailer focuses heavily on praise given to the performances which seem mostly directed toward Martin Landau, but that doesn't give one hope of more than another Oscar baity vehicle in a rather bland film.
There will probably be early talk of Landau for a nomination, but with people like Christopher Plummer, Armin Mueller-Stahl and Hal Holbrook each trying to parlay small indie work into Oscar nominations and failing, he probably shouldn't get his hopes up.
I have not seen this film.
