Trekkies documentarian Roger Nygard explores the varied views of religion, creationism, Darwinism and other theories and explanations of the titular Nature of Existence.
I like the color scheme, the title's symbol usage and the "galaxy in the palm of a man's hand" image, but the general layout is clunky, but should be sufficiently engaging for some audiences.
Unlike Michael Moore, Roger Nygard seems to like to stay at arm's length from his subjects, eliciting their honest responses to his questions. That he doesn't focus entirely on notable personages to get his answers makes for a more involving documentary, but one that may prove infuriating at times.
Trekkies wasn't even rmeotely a contender despite its success with critics. So, I doubt something with potentially more controversial subjects will appeal to the Academy.
I have not seen this film.
