Trying to cope after the loss of their son a couple teeters on the edge of collapse.
A little sparse, but the message is clear, which is as much as we can hope for with a serious, end-of-year feature.
Such an interesting and inventive design. Shattered lives broken into stages, with the most joyous at the heart of the poster and more depressive at the edges. It has a number of psychological and thematic connections to the film including the rift that develops in the film between the two characters pictured as they move towards opposing sides. It works even if people won't get the design.
Not a bad trailer, a bit affected at times and certainly not original, but it conveys just enough to entice the right viewer to the theater.
There's already heavy talk about this being an Oscar contender. Nicole Kidman and Dianne Wiest are already in position for possible Oscar nominations and the film could very easily appear in several categories outside of those.
I have not seen this film.
