Review:

Just how this image plays into the film is beside the point. The choice of image while appealing to a small portion of their base demographic is not very likely to bring that many people in.

It's a pretty fun way to display the cast without seeming too staid and traditional. Although I'm not in love with the color choices of the background or border, it fits the themes of the film quite nicely.

Review:

The effects look like they could be a bit cheesy, but the plot is unabashedly so. The concept will certainly appeal to a lot of people, but the ones who'll be most into this is '80s gaming geeks. Which is entirely fitting.

Although the film still looks interesting, there are far too many scenes and elements of the film spoiled and while it does set up the plot, it does so in a secondhand fashion hoping that people will flock to the theater just to see the action.

Covering mostly the same ground as the previous trailers, we get even more narrative backstory, which aides tremendously in setting up expectations. The only thing that frustrates me about the trailer is likely to be the most irritating thing about the film: the constant video game design and reference work.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
