The fourth film in the blockbuster franchise follows up on Shrek and his friends years in the future when they've let themselves go and Happily Ever After went straight down the drain.
It looks so much like the others that I can't imagine why I would have been shocked. The only interesting element of the poster is Puss in Boots' weight problem.
The battle between ogres and witches...notable absence: Fiona. She's part of the tribe and Shrek is not, so why is she missing form this poster? The first poster was more interesting, why go to something like that?
Clearly showing signs of age, the funniest part of this trailer are the scenes with Puss in Boots after he's let himself go. The rest is mostly just unfunny banter and action scenes.
Now that we have a better understanding of the plot, it makes for a more interesting film. Still, the series has been fading quickly and many of those elements seem to be featured in the trailer.
The last film did not make the cut with Oscar voters and I don't expect this one to do so either.
I have not seen this film.
