For a foreign language film, the choice of images is a good one. The music is a bit overbearing at times, but the grief within the tone is obvious and it sets the drama in the right direction.
Heavily focused dramas, especially ones with the potential for a hopeful reuniting of families, often goes well with Oscar voters, so this could be a contender. It is Iraq's official submission to this year's Oscars.
I have not seen this film.
