Preview: Valhalla Rising (2010)

Synopsis:

A slave seeking vengeance escapes and becomes a weapon for a group of religious warriors on a crusade to Jerusalem.

Review:

The red probably defines the bloodiness of this production to a tee, but it's a tad unnecessary. The poster is otherwise uneventful with a gorgeous backdrop, but a not-so-appealing central figure.

• Trailer: B-; C+

Review:

There are two trailers here. One, an international version, is a far more appealing production. The second one, presumably for American audiences, is as forced and immature as most trailers produced for American audiences are.
