After he discovers he has cancer and a 50/50 chance at survival, a young man desides to live his life to its fullest even if he has no idea how.
It's a bold poster that should speak to a lot of cancer patients, but I don't think it sells the movie adequately.
Even Joseph Gordon-Levitt might not be able to save this film. The trailer is slow and frequently humorless despite trying to pass itself off as a comedy.
The humor is more evident, though it's not necessarily better. Seth Rogen is just such an oboxious presence that even if he's better than he normally is, he distracts us from the real protagonist: Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Gordon-Levitt should be considered a contender and its late-year release could help that, but I don't think the film will figure very much in many other categories outside of possibly writing.
I have not seen this film.
