Preview: 5 Days of War (2011)

Synopsis:

Three journalists find themselves trapped in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia witnessing dozens of atrocities and trying desperately to escape the country so their footage can be seen by the world, currently captivated by the Olympics.

Review:

It looks interesting, but while everyone looks like they are physically in the film, the horrid photoshopping of Rupert Friend's face is completely distracting and utterly ridiculous and unrealistic.

Review:

There's something interesting about the film even if the likelihood is that it will be terrible. The action and tension is palpable and the journalism element has intriguing potential.

Oscar Prospects:

It will likely be forgotten in the next four months, so I wouldn't expect much from the Academy or critics.
