An ex-wife attends her son's wedding despite opposition from her ex's new wife.
For a complex social drama, this poster is a touch too uncomplicated. While it's a visually stunning image, the actor portrait element isn't delivered in any inventive or compelling way.
Ellen Barkin has never looked better, her performance sure to capture a lot of attention from critics. The rest of the film looks a bit predictable, but no less intriguing; and for those who love dysfunctional social dramas, this should be right up their alley.
Barkin could be a dark horse Best Actress contender. Ellen Burstyn and Demi Moore could also surprise if the film gets a lot of awards group traction.
I have not seen this film.
