A Hispanic immigrant tries to better his life and that of his son. When he has the opportunity, he takes it but not without cost.
The poster has a nice balance of empty space and detail that doesn't feel excessive. Still, the color scheme and title/lettering decisions block much of the flow of the background image.
The film looks like it's going to at least be a better film than Crash and director Chris Weitz understands the small character drama fairly well. This could be pretty good.
Weitz's About a Boy managed a screenplay nomination, so this one could do equally well...if Academy memory weren't so short.
I have not seen this film.
