A mixed documentary about the life and musings of legendary British actress Charlotte Rampling.
From an artistic perspective, the design is stylish but uncomplicated. However, if you don't know who you're looking at, it makes it harder to understand why you're even looking at her. Of course, putting anyone else on the poster would have been idiotic.
Rampling is one of those actresses you just can't take your eyes off of. She has a bit of Audrey, a bit of Ingrid and a bit of Kate, yet a quiet strength that belies her fierce talent. A documentary about the actress should definitely be interesting and the trailer does an adequate job setting her up as a viable subject and the film as a departure from traditional documentary filmmaking, but it's not a trailer that will make everyone besides the initiated want to see it.
It would be great for the Academy to find a place on its roster for her, but this just isn't their style.
I have not seen this film.
