A Hollywood stunt car driver turns wheelman, but turns on his employers after he discovers more questionable motives.
For an action film, even an artistic one, this poster lacks energy. While Ryan Gosling sells a lot of his work on looks, they aren't going to be enough to sell this kind of film.
I would be hard-pressed to find a less thrilling trailer. I stalks the scenes like it's trying to explore a new medium but without the gut-wrenching excitement that might sell it to a broader audience.
Despite being hailed as a reinvention of the genre by early viewers, the genre hasn't always been an Academy favorite and the director, whose Pusher films are inventive themselves, they were never taken as serious awards contenders even at festivals.
I have not seen this film.
