Whether I agree with the need to adapt the original film trilogy or novel into an English-language film or not, this is one pounding trailer. It's a visceral treat from beginning to end with high fashion cutting, pulsing music and sound effects, all blended together to tantalize the audience without so much as a word.
It was inevitable that a second trailer after the spectacular first would pale in comparison, but this trailer does a fine job keeping suspense high and exposing some of the more important elements. Fincher's film may have some promise.
While David Fincher hasn't exactly been an Academy favorite, the early talk is this could be a strong contender for him in a number of categories.
I have not seen this film.
