Preview: Happy Feet Two (2011)

It's cute enough to draw the kids and intrigue those who loved the original.

Review:

This terrible music video captures none of the most compelling elements of the original and attempts only to entice the film's legion of fans back to the theater without providing the least bit of substance.

Somewhat similar to the first teaser, this second gives a little more depth to the proceedings, but not enough.

Even the presence of Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation couldn't draw me to this film. It looks every bit as unfunny and pop culture nightmarish as the original.

Oscar Prospects:

Depending on how it rates compared to the original, it could contend again...at least for a nomination.
