The final film in the epic 10-year saga of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley ends in a grand battle for the lives and souls of the students of Hogwartz School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as well as the wizarding world itself and the world entire.
The poster does give a sense of the gravity of the film's climactic battle, though the background is lacking detail making the poster feel a bit emptier than it should.
We've spent ten years of our lives with these characters in the films and every element of past successful trailers is present. There's action, dramatic tension and hints of sorrow wrapped in a emotion-plucking trailer.
If it's possible, this second trailer is better than the first. A masterful blend of action and memories that should evoke a must-see sentimentality in all of the series' many fans.
Being the last in the series, I expect quite a few nominations to suddenly start showing up. Although the previous films have never managed more than three nominations, I can see a raft of nods including Art Direction, Costume Design, Makeup, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing and Visual Effects as well as a possible nod for Original Score and maybe, if they are lucky, a Best Picture nomination.
I have not seen this film.
