The poster has a strong sense of horror about it, taking a lot of cues from a number of recent horror film trailers, which does seem fitting considering the subject of it.

Review:

I will admit that I know very little of the history of the E.L.F., so much of what's presented her is new to me, but it could be a most fascinating examination.

Oscar Prospects:

A lot, and I do mean a lot, depends on how critics support it throughout the Oscar season. If they pass it up for something else, then it's not bound to figure, but if it gets a bit of attention, it could be nominated, but almost certainly wouldn't win.
