Two lovers find themselves on opposite ends of the Serbo-Crotian war, fighting for their homeland while testing their love.
I'll admit that I'm a sucker for inventive uses of posters. When I first looked at it, I thought it was just random blood splattering and was going to give it a failing grade. Then I noticed the image the blood strategically forms and I fell in love with it despite it's generic backdrop.
The trailer is well constructed, bringing the audience into this forbidden love affair. It has elements of Romeo and Juliet but is distinct enough to feel fresh.
It looks like the kind of the film the Academy would go for, but not appearing in any critic prize races makes it look like it won't be an easy sell.
I have not seen this film.
