Review:

Such a generic poster that its simplicity is almost its undoing. There's nothing particularly exceptional here, but it doesn't feel as bland and uneventful as so many other posters for films this year.

  • Trailer: C+

Review:

You have cineastes' attentions simply by displaying the name Aki Kaurismaki. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn't do a good enough job making this film appealing to a broader audience. Still, film fanboys should have no problem lining up to a film whose ultimate purpose is glaringly absent from the trailer.

Oscar Prospects:

Kaurismaki's name could make this one of the prime contenders for Foreign Language Film at this year's Oscars. It's already on the semi-final list of 63 entries. One more step and it could be a nominee.
