A young boy's mother is abducted by Martians and he must do everything he can to rescue her.
OMG! A spaceship! Next.
As if the terrible motion-capture animation weren't bad enough, the trailer lacks humor, feels uneducated and altogether bores.
Little variance from the first trailer, though it does add a touch of humor that was missing, but it further sells itself as a miserably unfunny film that tries for laughs and fails.
In the third trailer, the original song from the film is used as a narrative focus, leaving the audience bewildered and unimpressed. The music is laughable and uninspired and makes for a poor selling tool.
Every animated feature has a chance at Best Animated Feature, but motion-capture animation has only once cracked the top five (or three) and that's only because Monster House didn't look like it.
I have not seen this film.
