Review:

Taking a page from the Cheap Indie Poster Brigade, this lacks substance and detail even if it seems somewhat fitting.

• Trailer: B-

Review:

I get a strong Winter's Bone vibe from this film. Although it looks somewhat interesting, it could very easily be a misfire.

Oscar Prospects:

A lot depends on how well critics support the film. It's in a cushy October release berth, so it could be a contender for the art house slot in this year's race, but we'll need to see how it fares with critics groups first.
