Blamed for blowing up the Kremlin, Ethan Hunt and his team must go on the lam and ferret out the perpetrators in order to clear their names.
I guess Tom Cruise is enough to still sell these movies? At least that's what the producers think. Having the Burj Khalifa in the background doesn't exactly create the kind of awe inspiration necessary, though the film will bring audiences in on title alone regardless of how unimpressive the poster is.
An aural pleasure, this trailer is tense and effective, giving us all the action we love from this franchise without giving too much away. The opening shot of the Kremlin explosion, while sadly not a surprise anymore, was indeed impressive.
There's not much difference between this trailer and the earlier one and adding too much more plot information may hurt the film. Still, the iconic music, twisted almost beyond recognition, still gives you goosebumps when put into the action espionage milieu.
Don't look for the film to compete outside of the tech categories of Sound Mixing, Sound Editing and Visual Effects.
I have not seen this film.
