A courtesane's child explores the land of his birth trying to uncover the truth about his mother and find out who is father is.
There's not much to this poster. It's fairly dry and overly minimal. I can't imagine too many seeing this and asking (or caring) what it's even about.
In spite of the many critic praise notices in the trailer, you'd expect a pretty dazzling film. However, the trailer belies much of that by looking like every other costume drama that's ever been made.
It all depends on whether it's actually good or not. The design elements will certainly be in contention and it may be submitted for the Foreign Language Film prize, which would give it a chance at a trophy. But it would have to be truly exceptional to crack the more "important" categories.
I have not seen this film.
