Review:

I want to be down on this poster because it feels so generic, but as you look at it, the simplicity of it seems to strike you. Two lonely men, lost on a pier while a dedicated woman seeks to connect them with their past. It's a strong image for such a story, but still missing something that's hard to quantify.

Review:

This is the second trailer I've seen this year with a somewhat similar storyline. Sarah's Key had Kristin Scott Thomas. This film has Emily Watson. Both are fine actresses and both stories promise emotional payouts, but it's hard to tell from the trailer which will be the better film.

Oscar Prospects:

There might be faint talk of Emily Watson or Hugo Weaving as potential nominees, but I'm fairly certain both will be overshadowed by several others this year.
