An Iranian couple struggles to stay together. She wants to get away from Iran and head to the United States, but he wants to stay behind and care for his sick father. A charge of murder, frustration and aggravation threaten to break them apart.
It's too simple. I can't see how anyone, even fans of independent cinema, would find this poster the least bit intriguing.
I'm sure there's more to the film than what's presented in the trailer, but as it stands, there's hardly anything laudatory here. Sure, it may look like a capable relationship drama, not much in the trailer suggests more than a mediocre film (in spite of the frequent praise the film has been receiving).
It's a contender for Best Foreign Language Film and could pop into a handful of categories if Academy voters watch it.
I have not seen this film.
