A group of kids with a super 8 camera witness a terrible train accident while filming a little feature. They also spot a strange creature escape from wreckage that begins terrorizing the town.
A camera image turned on its side, as displayed in the trailer, is a solid idea for a framing device. The colors aren't terribly exciting, but they are evocative of the tone of the film.
The first trailer, something of a teaser, contains only two elements that will really appeal to their target demo: a chaotic train wreck and the promise of a dangerous, escaped monster.
The second trailer does a better job conveying to those not interested in monster flicks that there are a few more elements worth considering. It remains a niche-based effort, but a few extra people could develop an interest after this. Though, I expect some comparisons to Stephen King, especially is novel It.
None.
I have not seen this film.
