A documentary about the legendary Kashmere Stage Band, their prominent band leader Conrad "Prof" Johnson and the band's reunion plans to show their old teacher they've still got it.
When you know how to do simplicity right as they do here, it can weave a wonderful spell.
Documentaries like this have a predictable edge that make them crowd pleasers. You know where everything's going to end up, so you just let yourself have fun on the way. The trailer does a fine job conveying this concept.
Doubtful, though with Jamie Foxx (and his terrible narration) flogging it, there's always a possibility.
I have not seen this film.
