Review:

It's such an erratic image filled with hidden symbolism and rich color that it's hard to really know much about the film. But sometimes that's all a film needs to spread the interest.

  • Trailer: B+

Review:

There have been a number of documentaries this year that have made me reconsider my lack of desire to watch them and this is one of them. The historical context is the largest driving force in my desire to see it, which could be a sign of how much the subject might draw other unlikely viewers.

Oscar Prospects:

This film has the added benefit of being a documentary about political expression and freedom, which could give it an edge for an Oscar nomination. Too many contenders are strictly one type or the other, but blending politics and history together might just be what the film needs to compete.
