I wouldn't say that Rebecca Hall is exactly the presence needed to sell this film. Even the original poster for the similarly-themed Woman in Black didn't use the highly recognizable visgae of Daniel Radcliffe to sell the film. Sometimes, a creepy house with a creepy kid is all you need.

  • Trailer: B

These creepy orphanage tales can be fun if given the right atmosphere. While the trailer suggests there's plenty of dark spaces and candle-lit goodness, the addition of a romantic subplot only makes it seem more titillating than exciting.

Oscar Prospects:

If Woman in Black's chances are fading, this film has no chance.
