Following art photographer Gregory Crewdson on his exploration of the human spirit through startling images.
Using one of his stark, gorgeous images on the poster is the perfect sales tool. Viewers will be entranced by its originality and may seek the film out even without know what it's about.
The trailer, on the other hand, positions the images alongside the seemingly vain photographer's own words and doesn't seem to want to go beyond using his photography as a selling tool. It's beautiful and his process interesting, but the trailer seems lifeless.
I doubt this one gets much traction from voters, but stranger things have happened.
